SOUTHSIDE vs. HOKES BLUFF SCHEDULE Thursday, August 30th 2018 – Barney Hood Stadium – Southside, AL *We strongly encourage all members to eat prior to our report time. Report Time: 5:00 pm All members dressed and seated in the band room. Inspections begin. Student-Led “Pregame”: 5:00 pm Departure: 5:30 pm DON’T FORGET ANYTHING! National Anthem Rehearsal with H.B. Band: 6:00 pm Kick Off: 7:00 pm GO PANTHERS! Halftime: 8:45 pm? GO PRIDE GO!! 3rd Quarter Break: Immediately following halftime We cannot start break until all students are back in their assigned spots in the stadium. Members will be called down by section to receive their 3rd quarter meal. Members are not allowed to leave the band section during 3rd quarter. To All Students & Parents of The PRIDE, Hello and welcome back to school! Being a part of the band is lot of fun and it takes a lot of time, effort and dedication. It also requires a substantial financial commitment. To help you as families ease that burden to in order to better supply the educational needs of our students, the RMS & SHS Bands offer several fundraisers throughout the year. The first is our annual Coke Sale! Below is all of the information that you as parents and students need to know in order to help us to have a successful fundraiser. Cases of 24 Coca-Cola 20oz products are being sold for $25 each. Virtually all Coke products are for sale, but no mixed cases or partial orders will be sold Sale Dates August 13th – 27th. *All orders and money are due to the band offices by Aug. 27th. Students must use the order form for their school. Profits Students will receive $5 credit off of every case of Coca-Cola sold. These profits can be used to help students pay for their band fees! Order Forms/Delivery RMS students must use the RMS order form; SHS students the HS form. This will ensure that orders are delivered to the correct school. Hello, & greetings to all! It’s such a pleasure to write to you all again. I hope that everyone has enjoyed the summer break. If you’ve had half as much fun as my family has, then you’ve had a wonderful time indeed! So many people have worked incredibly hard this summer to get our camp ready. Thank you to Mrs. Hammock, our design team, and the executive board of the PMA for all of their efforts in putting together the best possible camp experience for our students. I cannot tell you just how excited we all are about this upcoming year and halftime show. It’s going to be a very fun year! Our annual camp newsletter “From the Podium” has been sent out and is full of useful info for both students and parents. A more detailed description of this info can be found below. Don’t forget that we have a mandatory student/parent meeting next Monday, July 16th at 7 pm. This is the best time to drop off your cases of bottled water and Gatorade. I can’t wait to see everyone again and hear all about your summer adventures. Go PRIDE GO! -Mr. Weaver

Please download and return the 2018 Shirt Order Form and money by May 21st at our orientation meeting. Shirts will be available for pick up at our July PMA meeting before band camp. All members must purchase at least 1 show shirt & have 1 red shirt (veteran members do not have to purchase new red shirts). Polos are optional for all students & parents. If you are planning on serving as a prop & equipment volunteer please purchase a black polo to wear at our performances. ![]()
