Welcome back PRIDE! We hope that everyone had a wonderful break spending time with family and friends. The second semester is here and it’s always a busy time for The PRIDE. There are lots of events happening; state assessment, concerts, honor bands, auditions and clinics…the list goes on and on, so please check the online calendar frequently. Dates and information are being published as soon as they are available. Please read the following information and reminders carefully. Our weekly schedule and some other upcoming events are listed below. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the band office. Gentlemen: Tuxedo, white collared shirt, black bowtie, black socks & shoes Gadsden Veterans Parade (Full Marching Band): ? When students begin to be released from school, all band students will come to the band room & prepare for the parade. We will depart as soon as our buses come back from running their routes. A specific line up or orders of events has not yet been given to us. The band office will post this information as soon as we receive it. Arrival / Unload: 6:00pm Kick Off: 7:00pm GO PANTHERS! Halftime: 8:20m? GO PRIDE GO!! 3rd Quarter Break: Immediately following halftime We cannot start break until all students are back in their assigned spots in the stadium. Members will be called down by section to receive their 3rd quarter meal. Members are not allowed to leave the band section during 3rd quarter. Dismissal: 10:30pm? *Students will be dismissed as a group from the band room. Southside Band Chaperone List Southside @ Glencoe – 11/3/17 From Mrs. Payne “Everyone helps load/unload the “PRIDE” bus. Everyone helps to clean the band area. Everyone helps get out children safely to and from the game. MON 10/30 2nd Annual Fall Concert! Pumpkin Decorating Contest – 4:30 pm in the lunchroom Spaghetti Supper – 5:00 pm in the lunchroom (plates at the door are $7.50) The pumpkin with the most votes during the supper will be our winner. The winner will be announced during the concert & receive a cash prize! Concert Begins – 6:00 pm in the Calvin L. Biddle Auditorium Student Report Time: 5:30 pm (Symphonic Band on STAGE / W.E. in the band room) TUES 10/31 Happy Halloween! Band Room will close at 3 pm. WED 11/1 THURS 11/2 MARCHING BAND STADIUM REHEARSAL: 5:45 – 8:00pm *Senior Run-through: 7:15 PM The senior run through is a fun tradition to end our marching band rehearsal season. The class of 2018 will be given the opportunity to watch the final run through of the show & then, they will perform our 2017 production by themselves! Come out to Barney Hood stadium and help us send of this amazing group of seniors.
