Members are to be in their seats dressed at the called report time for our “pre-game” ceremony. Departure: 4:50pm – DON’T FORGET ANYTHING! Arrival / Unload: 5:20pm Rehearsal with HB Band: 5:45pm Combined National Anthem: 6:45pm Kick Off: 7:00pm GO PANTHERS! Dismissal: 10:00ish *Students will be dismissed as a group from the band room. SOUTHSIDE @ ETOWAH SCHEDULE Friday, August 25th 2017 – Attala, AL *We strongly encourage all members to eat prior to our report time. Report Time: 5:00pm All members dressed and seated in the band room. Inspections begin. Student-Led “Pregame”: 5:05pm Departure: 5:30pm DON’T FORGET ANYTHING! Arrival / Unload: 5:50pm Kick Off: 7:00pm GO PANTHERS! Halftime: 8:45pm? GO PRIDE GO!! 3rd Quarter Break: Immediately following halftime We cannot start break until all students are back in their assigned spots in the stadium. Members will be called down by section to receive their 3rd quarter meal. Members are not allowed to leave the band section during 3rd quarter. Departure: 10:00pm? Parents checking out their child must sign-out with our PMA Vice President (Head Chaperone) Mrs. Payne. Dismissal: 10:30pm? *Students will be dismissed as a group from the band room. Rainbow Landing All Wind Ensemble members will stay after school to travel by bus to Rainbow Landing for a professional picture to be used in our AMEA program and promotional materials. BAND SCHEDULE – WEEK OF: April 10, 2017 MON 4/10 The PRIDE Music Association Booster meeting – 7pm SHS Band Hall TUES 4/11 WED 4/12 THURS 4/13 FRI 4/14 - Schools closed in observance of Good Friday - IMPORTANT REMINDERS Calendar: Please be sure to check our calendar and schedule of events online at: http://www.shs-band.com/calendar Band Fees: All band fees from 2016-2017 are now due. Please be sure to take care of any outstanding balances before the end of term. Seniors: please remember that you cannot participate in the graduation ceremony until all of your outstanding fees have been paid. Auxiliary Auditions / Clinic: Our 2017 – 18 auxiliary unit auditions will be held April 24 -28. Clinic and audition information can be found outside the band office. *A reminder, all outstanding band fees must be paid for members to be eligible to audition. Student Leadership Applications: Students wishing to apply for leadership positions in the 2017-18 school year should complete the application and submit it to the band office no later than Monday, April 17th. Applications are available from the band office, or online at: http://www.shs-band.com/blog/2017-2018-student-leadership-applications Drumline Camp: Our 2017 – 18 Percussion Placement Camp will be held at the Southside Band Hall Saturday, April 29th from 9 am -5 pm. This day of percussion will be filled with lots of fun and music and determine instrument placement for The PRIDE’s 2017 Drumline. MON 3/20 The PRIDE Music Association Booster meeting – 7pm SHS Band Hall TUES 3/21 Auxiliary Showcase Dress Rehearsal – 3-6pm, Biddle Auditorium Drum Major Prelim Auditions – 3:15-5pm, SHS Band Hall WED 3/22 Drum Major Final Auditions – 3-4:30pm, SHS Band Hall *All 2016-17 Marching Band members will participate in the final round of Drum Major auditions. Our finalists will conduct movement IV from this year’s show. THURS 3/23 2nd Annual Auxiliary Showcase Recital – Biddle Auditorium, 6pm, $5 Admission Come support the lovely ladies of The PRIDE’s auxiliary units as they perform in recital for our 2nd every showcase. MON 3/6 TUES 3/7 *Very quick, marching band rehearsal 3-4pm. (Prep for Recruitment Concert) We apologize for calling this rehearsal on such short notice. Due to scheduling constraints, our recruitment event has been moved much earlier than in years past. We appreciate your flexibility and we understand that some members may not be able to attend. WED 3/8 5th Grade Recruitment Concert – SHS 12:30pm *Students need to bring their marching equipment and attire to school on Wednesday. Students will be dismissed to the band room following lunch, and will hold a brief performance for our 5th grade students as part of “The PRIDE”’s annual recruitment event.
